Hi I'm Jonathan Hodges

I am just an ordinary guy who has grown up in Utah that loves life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Activities that I enjoy doing are playing any type of sport and hanging out with friends. I also enjoy the outdoors whether it is hiking, camping, or occasionally going snowboarding. When I am not playing sports I usually watch them on television. I am currently taking time off from school to serve an LDS mission. I have completed five semesters of college and still exploring what I would like my career to be.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in a Mormon home but it is not your typical Mormon home. When I was a child I rarely remember going to church or practicing my faith in any way. As a child it was never a big deal to me until we moved to a neighborhood which had great members who got us going to church on a regular basis. I was baptized at age eight and when I look at the life that I have been living now compared to my life before my family moved, it could be considered as night and day. I do have a testimony that Jesus did live and that Joseph Smith was a chosen prophet of God. I know that if you have faith and live the gospel in your life that you will be blessed. By knowing these things it has helped me throughout my life, through trials and hardships especially. These things I say in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

I have been active in my own faith by taking advantage of opportunities such as being part of my young mens presidency, participating in service projects for both people in my own ward as well as in my community, being a home teacher for member in my ward, and being able to receive my eagle rank in scouting. Although some may see service as being somewhat of a burden, I have been able to take advantage of it to the fullest in the past and I am grateful that I was given the opportunities to participate in service. Service to me is the greatest opportunity because countless blessings are given to those who are involved and it helps those who are in need of help.
