Hi I'm Christopher

I love to play board games with my family. I am a habitual reader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One love of my life is food. This may haunt me in my later years, but cooking and eating good food is one thing I love. I took a foods class this year and I love it. I learned a bunch of stuff like how to make cream puffs (delicious) and how to wield a chef's knife. Like I said in my intro I am also obsessed with board games. One reason for this is that I come from a big family -- I'm the fifth of eleven. There was always somebody, or sometimes several people around to play a board game with. I started playing with the classics (Risk, Monopoly, Scrabble) but I soon became obsessed and got some real board games like Puerto Rico. Finally I absolutely love to read. When I'm reading a good book you can find me up in the wee hours of the morning, reading. I can go through a series of books in a week, if it's good.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born to loving members of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, and I am very grateful that they have shared the gospel with me. But, I'm not a Mormon because they are. I'm a Mormon because I know that it is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, here again on the earth. I have been given the gift of the Holy Ghost, meaning that I have the right to his presence when I am righteous. I have on numerous occasions felt his presence and received revelation and comfort. God loves us and he loves ME. I'm a Mormon because that's what God wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I belong to the young men's program in my church. As a group it's our job to bring the sacramental services to the homes of the elderly who cannot attend. This is an awesome experience. After attending our regular services we split up into groups of two and visit the elderly of our congregation one by one. It is a great opportunity to visit with them and let them take the sacrament, which they could not do without us. My life has changed a bit since I've last been on here -- I now live my faith by being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm in the MTC (Missionary Training Center) right now where I'm preparing and practicing teaching for real investigators of this church. I love donating my time and means to serve the Lord. I will be serving in Merida, Mexico.
