Hi I'm Mikki Hudson

I graduated from college before graduating high school. I love working with children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest child of five kids. All are girls except for the youngest, but he is spoiled rotten. Because of the age gap between the oldest three and youngest two, I helped a lot with raising my youngest two siblings. I love working with and being with kids because of this experience. I do a lot of babysitting and absolutely love it! I love seeing children understand and comprehend new things and experiences. I grew up in Southern Utah and had the opportunity to attend a school called the SUCCESS Academy. This school allows students to attend college while going to high school. At the time you graduate high school, you also graduate at the college or university with an associate's of science degree. I am very grateful for my experience in this program because I was able to learn so much about myself as well as gain an education. My family has had financial troubles and this program provided a way for me to get an education and not need to pay for much of anything except some books.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my family has been Mormon for a long time, I could not be satisfied with only knowing that they believe this church is true. I had to know for myself. This church as been easy to accept because of the teaching of the Plan of Happiness or the Plan of Salvation. Answering questions to why were are here and where we are going are answered in this plan. Knowing that we are here for a reasoning and to know what happens when I die are great strengths in my life and provide an eternal perspective in my life. Knowing this church is true was not something that came all at once. I am still learning and growing everyday. I have come to know that it is true by applying the principle in my life.

How I live my faith

I've had a lot of opportunities to serve the people around me. I served on the Washington County Youth Court and Washington City Youth Council in the community. I have been on student councils and have served as a leader and a representative on many different committees and councils. One of my favorite positions was being a leader over Girl's Camp. Girl's Camp is a week event where all the girls within a certain area of ages 12-18 go to camp together. This took over 6 months to plan and I had meetings every week. I absolutely loved being able to envision different ways to teach concepts and be creative. I had a blast planning and it felt bitter-sweet when Girl's Camp finally came. Serving others is one of my favorite things to do.
