Hi I'm Landon Cleverley

I sing, I love the outdoors and sports, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I love my family, sports, music, four wheeling, shooting guns, friends, food, life, hearing people laugh, and being a Mormon! I lettered in four sports in high school: football, basketball, track, and golf. My favorite is definitely basketball! Being outdoors with friends and family is definitely one of my favorite things to do, its peaceful, beautful, and always an adventure. I LOVE music! It makes the world go around. I've been singing for about forever and play guitar, piano, trombone, and tuba. When I play music I remember the talents God blesses us with, and it reminds me that we are all individual children of God. Music brings souls closer, inspires them, and just makes people happy. I'm the youngest of three children, i love my family! I'm on a mission in Des Moines Iowa! I have goals to marry the lady of my dreams, become a nurse anesthetist, have a family, and return home to Father in Heaven where families will be together forever!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. With that said, every Mormon needs to have their own personal conversion. When i was about seventeen years old i had a neighbor who was given a calling to be a youngmen's president, meaning he would help teach and plan activities for all the youngmen from the ages of 12 up until they are 18. We were always doing service and yard work for other members in our ward. Despite the fact that we didn't love doing yard work, when we are serving others and when we finish you see the look in their eyes and they are so grateful and loving towards you, when you don't think you've done very much for someone, that moment is worth everything. I am a Mormon because it is God's church and because the book of Mormon is true, because we serve others not for a reward, but to become like Jesus Christ and our heavenly father. I know that being Mormon is how I can become more and more like them everyday of my life. I am proud to say it! I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being willing to serve others whenever they need it. There is a lot that needs to be done in the church as far as callings that we receive in our wards that we need to fulfill, someone may even need help with their own calling. That is something that i love about this church! Whenever you need help in any kind of way whether its with a calling or a widow needing her leaves raked, there are always people who are willing to help in any way that they can. I live my faith by serving and loving others around me, Mormon or not Mormon, we are all god's children and need to serve one another.
