Hi I'm Nicola

I live in Switzerland. I am the youngest of eight siblings. I love Swiss chocolate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in Switzerland all my life. I love the atmosphere in the mountains, the beautiful lakes and like all people from Switzerland I can't say no to chocolate. I like to play sports and to spend time with my big family. Spending time with my parents and my brothers and sisters and their children is one of my favorite thing to do. There's almost nothing better than being in the mountains at a lake, roasting a Cervelat (a swiss sausage) over a fire, swimming in the lake, and playing some fun games with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me up in this church. In my teenage years I started to ask myself why I didn't do the things all my friends did. I stayed true to my beliefs and standards and could see that these high standards protected me from problems and difficulties my friends soon started to struggle with. While serving my mission in England I met many people that tried to destroy my faith, telling me that God doesn't exist. Through sincere prayers and reading in the scriptures, learning about Jesus Christ and his father, I came to know for myself that he lives and that there is a God. But... why this church? why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because of the book of Mormon. I don't think that anyone who reads that ancient account, ponders its message and history and the way we received the record through the young man Joseph Smith, can deny that the account is true and that Joseph Smith could never have written that book by himself or even with help of family and friends. If Joseph were not commanded of God, why would he write such a book, live a life of persecution because of it and eventually die for it as a testimony of its truthfulness. I know that the book of Mormon is true. And that's why I am a Mormon. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the church established and lead by Jesus Christ himself through his chosen prophets.

How I live my faith

As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I have the opportunity to teach people about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Being able to help people to come closer to our savior and see the change the gospel can have in their lives and the peace and joy that comes with it is a wonderful experience.
