Hi I'm Rachael Dart

I'm from eastern Washington State. I'm a missionary in Virginia. I love singing, performing and engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student and am studying Manufacturing Engineering Technology. In my spare time, I enjoy singing and acting - pretty much anything theater related. When I am at home, I enjoy stargazing and helping my dad with his many projects, including working on our observatory and helping him with our new ranch, Sagebrush Skies. I recently arrived at my mission in the Virginia Richmond Mission and I am so excited to be here and share what I know to be true!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but for a long while I was just going through the motions and didn't really understand why I was still going to church. I decided that I needed to figure out for myself whether or not this church really was true. There was no miracle, I didn't have any visions, but by doing the little things like reading my scriptures with a purpose and praying intently night after night, I eventually gained a testimony. Looking back, I can see many times where the Lord blessed me as I was trying to gain my own personal testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and that he did suffer for our sins, our pains, and our sorrows. I know that Joseph Smith told the truth about his vision of God the Father and His Son coming to him, and I know that it was through their help that Joseph was able to translate the Book of Mormon. I know that there are living prophets and apostles on the earth today and that they are inspired of God to lead this church. Most importantly, I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love all of us, and I know that they love me.

How I live my faith

I was recently called to serve as a missionary in the Virginia Richmond Mission. Being a missionary, my purpose is to invite people to come unto Christ and teach them about the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so very excited for this opportunity I have, and everyday that I serve the people of Virginia I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to be here. It's definitely not easy to go out everyday and try to talk to people who don't care to listen, but it is so rewarding to see people light up when they recognize truth. As a missionary, I have very limited time on the internet, email contact with my family only once a week, I have a companion I am with literally 24/7, and we go out every day and share what we know to be true with anyone who will listen. I have been blessed with a heart that loves everyone, even those who make my day pretty awful, so when I see them recognize truth in my testimony, a new wave of love washes over me for my brothers and sisters who I get to bring back into my heavenly family.
