Hi I'm Victoria Boomhower

I grew up in Indiana. I love adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the kind of person that loves going on adventures to discover what the world and nature offers me. I enjoy the fact that I can think, be alone for awhile, and have nothing else to worry about besides enjoying my time being outside. I love rock climbing, camping, hiking, and anything else that has to do with me being in the outdoors. I also love playing sports and having fun trying new things. Another hobby of mine is tie dying shirts in the summer. I enjoy painting, drawing, and using other medias I feel like using to create something meaningful, but my favorite media to use is charcoal. Lastly, I love animals; they have a very special place in my heart. I'm a registered vet assistant after graduating from a two year career school in 2007- 2009 and I graduated from college in 2011 with a Associates Degree. I am currently serving a mission, but I'll be going back to school in the near future to continue my studies.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel so much! It brings so much happiness into my life and my family. The blessings from it are remarkable. I feel at peace knowing that I can be with my family forever. There's nothing more that our Heavenly Father wants than for us to be happy and to live with Him again. As a member of the church, I know anything is possible if I continue to have faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. I know I'm not perfect, but through Him and His gospel, everyday I strive to learn and to improve. Yes, sometimes I slip and fall, but I know His hand is ALWAYS extended towards me to lift me up from my knees for me to move forward again. I know I'm a daughter of God and I know we are all His children. He loves us more than we can imagine and He will never turn His back on us. I know He lives, I know this is His true and living gospel, and I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and we have a living prophet today.

How I live my faith

In the past, I've helped and participated in many activities and doing charity work for those that are in need. I seek opportunities to help someone out everyday. But doing service projects is one of my favorite things to do because it helps me see what my Heavenly Father sees in that person. I always feel happier and enlightened after doing something good. But right now, I'm living my faith by serving the Lord for 18 months. I'm currently serving in Nevada as a fulltime missionary and I love every minute of it! It is one of the hardest things that I have ever done, but it is the most worth it. Having that chance to share the gospel and seeing lives change in front of me is the most incredible experience that anyone could ever experience. I don't know how else to explain it, but I wouldn't change being a missionary for anything in the world. I've had many church callings and I loved all of them no matter how big or small they were, but being a fulltime missionary is by far my favorite. Each one of my callings have taught me something great and have stretched me to become something more than what I thought I could be. When I put my trust in my Heavenly Father, everything always falls into place and I have nothing to fear.

Are Mormons Christians?

Victoria Boomhower
Yes we are! We believe in Jesus Christ, talk of Christ, and rejoice in Him. He is our redeemer and King. The Book of Mormon, in fact, is centered on Jesus Christ and His Atonement (when he died for the sins of the world). He loved us so much that He died for all of us who have ever lived or will live here on earth. He is the center of our lives. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church and missionaries wear His name on their badge. We invite all to come unto Christ and to feel of His love and to experience the blessings that can enrich your life. Show more Show less
