Hi I'm Paesha

I'm from upstate New York, I'm 20 years old, and I am about to serve a mission in Sendai, Japan.

About Me

I am 20 years old, a sophomore at Brigham Young University studying graphic design. I am the fourth of nine kids in my family who I love so much! We spend a lot of time together and have a lot of fun together :) I love to travel and have been all over Asia, Europe, and the United States. I've lived in a variety of places including Rochester, New York; Yokohama, Japan; and Salt Lake City, Utah. I like to run, ski, ride horses and do outdoorsy activities. I play the harp and the piano and like to sing duets with my sister. I love old fashioned things (cars, clothes, movies...etc) and I absolutely love ice cream. I love being happy and am currently so excited to be able to serve a mission in Sendai, Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my entire life. Since the day I was born, my parents have taught me the principles of the restored gospel and how to live in a way that reflects those principles. I have never doubted the Church to be true and it seems that each day my testimony in the restored gospel becomes stronger and stronger. I love being a Mormon! The happiness and joy it brings me is irreplaceable. The fact that I KNOW I am a daughter of Heavenly Father and that I KNOW he loves me personally is so amazing. I have a loving Savior, Jesus Christ, who suffered and died for me--and for all of us--in order to return to Heavenly Father again someday. I'll admit it, we live during scary times. Anything moral, innocent, or virtuous is being twisted and mocked by the society in which we live. It is such a comfort to know that we have a modern day prophet, Thomas S. Monson, who has been called of God, to help guide us through these troubled times. It is also a comfort to have the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon to allow me to learn even more of Christ. Without a firm belief in my faith, I would be lost and confused. But I am a Mormon! I can live a happy, full, and beautiful life...and even during those times of dark, with the Savior by my side, I can always find the times of light.

How I live my faith

My faith is the reason I am so happy. I know the restored gospel of Jesus Christ to be true and when I live my life in harmony with those teachings, I am filled with so much joy. I know the purpose of my life and why I am here on this earth. I have such a strong testimony in my Savior, Jesus Christ. He died for all of us so that one day, we can return to our loving Heavenly Father. I don't know where I would be without the faith I have in my life, so that is why I am serving a mission--to be able to share what I know to be true to the people of Japan, so that they too may be happy. For the next 18 months I will be teaching and serving and inviting the people of Sendai to come unto Christ.
