Hi I'm Allyson Rae Adams

I grew up in Utah. My parent joined the church when i was 5. I have 8 siblings. My life is crazy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a very rounded person. I enjoy serving others and love serving those with disabilities. I'm serving a mission. before my mission I was living at home with my mom and my 5 younger siblings. Some day I plan on becoming a math teacher because I want to inspire the minds of youth. I long board, crochet, write, read, cook, learn, endure, and enjoy life.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 5 my mom started to go back to church. Both my parent grew up in the church but because of bad influences fell away due to serious sins. My dad returned because he felt good as he served others. My parents were seal in the LDS temple when I was 6. My faith was pushed to its limits when my grandpa died when I was 8. My parent stopped going to church I was left to decide what I felt was right. I went to church as much as possible and made many wonderful friends there. In 9th grade I decovered seminary. There I found a true foundation in Christ and began to build there on. without the church I would be lost, without the gospel I would be hopeless. I feel good as I read the book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was serving at my state developmental center for over two years, I love the residents and enjoy inspiring the youth to become involved. I taught a Sunday school class and I'm missing it now that I'm gone on my lds mission. I was a ward missionary and checked up on the less active LDS members. I love visiting teaching and I'm severing a mission for the LDS church. It's been a long journey but I excited to be on a mission to bring people the hope in Christ that I have found.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Allyson Rae Adams
The more life I live the more I see that Heavenly Father has given us all that we have. If He gave us everything, what can it hurt to give 10% back to the building up of His church? During my time of paying tithing I have found life a lot easer when I pay my tithing, I have enough money to go around and if I don't it seems to appear out of no where, usually from angels on earth. I feel privileged to pay my tithing and receive the countless blessing for that act of faith. Show more Show less
