Hi I'm Harmony

I'm currently a sister missionary, I am an avid reader, and I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love sharing the message of God's love for all of us. Before I started to serve my mission, I attended university. Learning is such a big part of my life, and I love the ability I have to go and be a student full-time. I am the oldest of 6 siblings. I love my family! They are the biggest part of my life, and I don't know what I would do without them. As we've grown up together, our personalities have certainly grown with us. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to keep in touch with them, and the knowledge I have that I can live with my family even after this life on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

Things seem to be so temporary during this life. In one instant, everything changes. But the one constant I know I will always have is the hope this gospel brings to my life. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He will never abandon us, even if we choose not to listen to Him. I know the truths taught in this church will never change because God never changes. In the turmoil of this world, living this faith gives me a firm foundation to stand on. I know God has a plan for all of our lives. I know He loves us more than we can ever imagine; He sent Jesus Christ to come down to earth and pay the price for our sins! And Christ did it because He also loves us more than we can comprehend. Even when I am at my loneliest, I know I am never alone because my God will never leave me comfortless. This message gives me hope, and this hope gives me faith in God our Eternal Father and in His son, Jesus Christ. They both love all of us. I know this to be true, with every fiber of my being.

How I live my faith

One of the most important decisions I've ever made was the decision to leave my family for a time and go tell others about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love sharing this message of joy with everyone I meet; and it really is a message of joy! My faith doesn't just extend to going on a mission for the church. Back at home, I love participating in my congregation's activities. One of the purposes of these congregations (called wards or branches) is to help one another, because Jesus Christ helped everyone He met. We serve one another, and I consider it a wonderful opportunity. Before I left, I helped out with the children by playing the piano for them while they sang songs. I enjoyed that thoroughly. Children have such pure, wonderful spirits and it's hard not be happy in their presence. But no matter what I do to help those in my congregation, I always feel happy to help out. I think when we help each other, it helps us become more like Jesus Christ, and although I am far from perfect, I love these opportunities to emulate my Savior.
