Why I am a Mormon

I am extremely grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I know it is truly His church on the Earth today. Heavenly Father is a God who never changes, and so, like in biblical times and throughout history, God has sent prophets to be His mouthpiece on the Earth so His children can know what He would have them do. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our true prophet on the Earth today. He guides this true and living church to accomplish the will of God in our time. I do believe that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and through his ministry we are greatly blessed. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, for so I have longed to know, and my prayers were heard and answered.Through the spirit of Christ, I was able to recieve a witness that the words I had read were infact the true word of God. I know Jesus Christ died for our sins, so that we have a chance to repent and return to His presence. I know that He was resurrected as well, so that all men would be resurrected and that "the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ." -Mosiah 16:8 "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophecy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins"-2 Nephi:25

How I live my faith

I am the president of the girls ages 16-18 in my ward, I love every second I get to spend with them! I am also president of our church class in school, called seminary. I love the group of kids in that class! We all build each other up through sharing our experiences about how we know our Heavenly Father is there for each one of His children. I have also recieved my Personal Progress medallion, which means that I had the oppertunity to complete 8 10 hour projects, and various little projects to go along with the Young Women theme in our church, Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Works, Knowledge, Choice & Accountablilty, Good Works, Integrity and Virtue.
