Hi I'm Paige

I'm in a mixed-ethnicity marriage, I'm a new mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a huge passion for being a student. If I could, I'd take tons more classes as electives just for the sake of it. I chose elementary education as my major because some of my biggest passions lie there. I've always loved children. You could say that I grew up in a big family full of kids because my extended family is so close. I also have a desire to understand more about the educational system so that I can take the best from it to give to children who can benefit. In my opinion, it's one of the best fields to be in because I will be helping to train the next generation of hospital workers and engineers and researchers. That means allot to me. That's also why I am so excited to become a mother. There can't be anything more rewarding and amazing and special than the chance to actually create a human body who I'll love more than almost anyone and teach him or her to make something of his/herself. Most of all, I hope I can teach my children to care for other people. What's the good of living if your life doesn't impact another life for the better? I'm so grateful for these opportunities in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though both my parents have always been members of this church, I consider my membership to be a personal choice. I've taken so many opportunities to take a step back and really think about my life -- where I've been compared to where I am now, what I would change, and what I would hold onto. I've always come to the same conclusion -- that all the good things in my life and in everybody's lives come from Christ. When I pray -- when I really pray -- I feel an energy, a strength and a peace in my heart that I can't get anywhere else but from the Holy Ghost. I know that a feeling like that never has and never could come from me. I've tried that. It's really kind of sad that there are no words to explain how I just know. I find meaning in my life because of the things I learn from the scriptures, from the prophets, and from personal revelation. I know that there is an actual purpose to it all and that I don't have to walk through it all alone. That's what keeps me going through thick and thin. One of the things I love most is that I can talk directly with God. It's incredible that I can actually speak to the greatest Being ever, who is my Father waiting for me in Heaven. You know what else? I'm getting married to this guy who I absolutely adore with everything I've got. And we're going to be married even after we die, for forever. Forever is not just a fairy tale. It's for real. That means more to me than I can ever explain.

How I live my faith

I attend a congregation of single students. Last year, I compiled a history of my congregation (my ward) for church files. I used information like who was called to which position and when, as well as special events and baptisms. The history was sent to the local area leadership and then to Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City.
