Hi I'm Katie Baker

I'm a student. I love people, chocolate ice cream, and Zumba. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most say my name as KatieBaker. No spaces. I'm currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was originally called to the Brazil Natal Mission, but my visa is somewhere off in paperwork-land attempting to jump through hurdles. So I currently have the privilege of serving in the Oregon Salem Mission and I love it! When I return from my mission, I will continue to study Public Relations at Brigham Young University. I plan on saving the world, one person at a time. I'm not very athletic, but I can Zumba like no other. I love anything artsy fartsy. I speak French and Portuguese. They're pretty mixed up in my brain right now, but it is what it is. I also plan on learning Mandarin.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been blessed with parents that raised me in the Church, but there came a time in my life where I chose to truly commit myself to Christ's Church and it's teachings. I found out for myself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that God still speaks through prophets. I am happiest when I keep the commandments and stay close to my Savior, Jesus Christ. He is our perfect example in every way, and I try to face every situation as He would. I'm not perfect and I make mistakes every day, but I know that through the Atonement I can always change.

How I live my faith

I am constantly trying to be an uplifting influence to everyone around me. I serve as a leader to the people around me, and a happy attitude makes a world of difference.
