Hi I'm Elder Jordan Robinson

I love my family, my mission, nametags on the right side, and sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my most favorite things to do is being with friends and family. No matter what we are doing, playing basketball, football, going to a movie, or just hanging out. My friends and family are the best. I graduated high school in 2012 and right now I'm on my mission in the Nevada Las Vegas west mission. Before my mission I was always working trying to save money. What I thought was taking away from my social life, I know see was only preparing me to always work hard. Especially in the mission field. After my mission I plan to go to college. I have no idea what I want to do yet, but maybe something with kids or maybe something totally different. There are so many possibilities. Eventually I want to become a great husband and father, I love kids and can't wait to have my own. I want to be able to teach them how to catch and throw a ball, how to help others, and teach them everything I can so they can have a life full of joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church and have been active my entire life. My mom always taught me about the gospel of Jesus Christ and I have always attended sunday meetings and weeknight youth meetings. Most of my friends are members of the same church as me, so we always had the same standards and helped each other understand and learn more about our religion. I have also read the Book of Mormon and know it is true because I have prayed to my Heavenly Father to ask if it was true. I prayed because I wanted to find out for myself if it was true, and I recieved an answer that it was. I also have come to recognize the presence and promptings of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has also testifyed to me that the Book of Mormon, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and what the Latter-Day prophets have said are true. I know with all my heart that this church is the only true church on the earth today, that this gospel is the gospel of Jesus Christ and that he guides and directs us. The Church of Jesus Christ contains the priesthood power and authority from Christ that is needed to direct the church at this time. I could never in my life ever deny the gospel because of what I know to be true.

How I live my faith

In my church I am a ward missionary. I'm preparing to go on a full-time, two year mission myself and so this calling fits me perfectly. As a ward missionary I go out with the full-time missionaries and help them with whatever they need. It can be anything from taking them to a meeting, going out with them for an appointment or going with them making contacts door to door. In my calling I have the opportunity to meet the people investigating the church and I am able to share my testimony with them. I enjoy helping others learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ and I love to see the happiness and peace they feel as they learn about our Savior.

What is being a Mormon like?

Elder Jordan Robinson
Being a Mormon is awesome! Its not as hard or restricting as some people think. We all do the same things as anyone else does. For example, we shop, eat, go to church, play games, and many more things. Being Mormon has blessed my life in so many ways. I have found so much joy in living the way my Heavenly Father has asked me to live. When I read my scriptures, go to church, and pray, I find that happiness my Father in heaven wants me to feel. Being a Mormon has also helped me learn of God's plan for me and everyone of his children (everyone). It is my job as a Mormon to try and help everyone else in the world find that same joy I feel from following my Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
