Hi I'm Marissa Lewis

I'm a Mormon . . . I know it, I live it, I love it!

About Me

I love life! I come from a family of eight with six kids. I have five brothers and am right in the middle of all of them and couldn't love it more. I am currently attending BYU-Idaho and studying Horticulture. I want to have my own landscape business and help others be able to see and enjoy God's creations. I am currently serving a mission in the Philippines, Laoag mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church and been a "mormon" all my life. The reason I am a Mormon is because I have built up my own testimony through scripture study and prayer and know that this gospel is true. One of my favorite scriptures talks about how men are that they might have joy and this gospel is the only thing in this life that can bring true and everlasting joy.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon to me is more than just sitting in church for three hours every Sunday. To me, it is a way of living life. I constantly am trying to become more like our Savior each day which to me, is living our Faith. My ultimate goal is to become more like our Savior and Father in Heaven. I currently am a Sunday School teacher in my ward at school. When trying to teach others gospel principles it gives me more motivation to live up to what I teach. I am currently in the Provo MTC preparing for my mission in the Philippines Laoag mission. I am so excited to help others see that true joy and happiness can only come from the gospel. I know that this is not really my mission but it is the Lords. I am so great full for this opportunity I have to dedicate 18 months of my life to the Lord.
