Hi I'm Kimmi Forsey

I love to spend time with my family, I absolutely love animals and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Mormon all my life. I grew up with five older brothers and one older sister. Yes, I am the youngest of seven children... but I love it! It's so fun having a big family and lots of brothers for protection. I've always been an animal lover. In fact, I even have an unusual love for bees. It's always been a joke in my family that I'm the bee charmer. When i was three, I was found talking to a bumble bee that was resting on the tip of my finger. What can I say, I love bees. ;) I also have a great love for life and for serving the people around me. One of my favorite things about each and every day is the beautiful sunset that follows. I can never get enough of the beauty that God created for us after each and every day. I attended a semester at BYU-Idaho and absolutely loved the people and the great spirit up there. Although my life has been fairly simple and extremely blessed, I do face many challenges every day that I am fighting to overcome. It is my goal to become the best I can be for my future life and family.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, why not be a Mormon? Being a Mormon or LDS as we prefer to say, is all I've ever known. My family has always been extremely active in church and in our church callings. As I've gotten older and gone through different trials and difficult decisions I've had to figure out for myself the truth of this loving gospel. Not that I've ever had a doubt that it's true, I've just wanted to know for myself and feel the divine truth and comfort of this gospel. As I've been preparing to serve a mission, I've really been tried and tested by Satan and his powerful adversary and it's made me think A LOT about pretty much everything that has lead me to my life and the way it is today. I have personally gained a testimony of this beautiful gospel by believing and putting that belief to work by attending church every week and by personal scripture study and prayer every day. I look at this beautiful world that God has created for me and every one of his children on this earth.. which includes YOU. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to become like Him and rise up to his celestial glory just like my parents here on Earth would want me to become like them and obtain that powerful knowledge and testimony of the gospel that they have obtained by living the gospel and trying their hardest to follow and obey each and every one of God's commandments. This gospel is my life and I feel God's love each and every day by the family he has given me, the beautiful sunsets each night, the warm breezes in the summer, and the simple enjoyment of a good laugh. He has given me more blessings than I could ever ask for. This gospel is true and I KNOW that there is a Heavenly Father who loves me enough to give up his only begotten son, Jesus Christ so that I can make it back to him one day and potentially become just like Him, my very own Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I strive to attend church every Sunday and also my other church meetings. I know that this gospel is true and I try as hard as I can to show that in my actions and the way that I dress. As I attend church every Sunday, I try to continue to incorporate the spirit and light of Christ throughout my week by constantly dressing and acting as though in Christ's presence. One of my favorite hymns that helps me live as an example of Christ is "If the Savior Stood Beside Me". Every time I sing that hymn, I am motivated to repent and continue to be an example to everyone around me. As of now, I am preparing the serve a mission in Bolivia and I cannot wait to finally get out and serve the people there and learn the Spanish language. Every night, I read my scriptures, study in Preach my Gospel and study my Spanish so that I can be the best missionary that I can be!

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Kimmi Forsey
Modesty in our dress and language is such a crucial part of keeping ourselves chaste and pure. In order for the Holy Ghost to dwell inside us, we need to keep our bodies and minds clean. If we are modest in the way we dress and the way we speak, we are able to conduct clean thoughts from others around us. When a girl is dressed rather immodestly, each and every part of her revealed body is sending bad or sexual signals into boys' minds. If we keep our bodies properly covered and dressed well, we can prevent others from having unclean thoughts and actions. Show more Show less
