Hi I'm Rachel

I aspire to live every day to the fullest and bring joy to others around me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a knowledge sponge. I enjoy learning about everything and anything. I am studying to become a health educator. I also am learning American Sign Language and hope to be an Interpreter one day. I delight in interacting with and getting to know new people. I love my family and try to spend time with them often. The outdoors is my second home. I like to bike, run, go camping, play at the park, or simply spend long hours sitting outside enjoying nature. I love to sing and like to do so loudly when I'm alone and think no one is listening. Other hobbies I have include laughing, smiling, and helping others be happy. Being the source of someone else's laugh or smile makes my day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in an active LDS family. I was taught the gospel through my family and have always lived it. The gospel is a part of who I am. I have always known to some extent that it was true. Once I approached my teenage and young adult years I prayed for myself to know that the church is true and felt the Spirit testify of its truth. My testimony has grown from that point and it means the world to me. This has been the source of my continuation as a faithful member of the church and commitment to follow Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the true church with all of my heart. Every truth taught within it is true. I know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us and knows us each individually. He has a plan for each of us and is always there for us when needed. I also know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and atoned for each of our sins on an individual level. He truly knows what we are going through. I also know that through the Atonement we can be forgiven of our sins and that if we do our best to do what is right in this life that we will return to live with our Heavenly Father again and gain exaltation.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live the gospel in everything I do. I want my faith to be apparent in every aspect of my life. I go to church every Sunday, read my scriptures, pray, and do my best to fulfill all my church callings. The greatest way I live my faith is to pattern my lifestyle after the Savior and follow His example.
