Hi I'm Terry

I am a retired Railroad Engineer. I have been a Mormon all my life.

About Me

I enjoy geocaching with my wife. Traveling and seeing all the wonderous places that God has provided for us. I love to read. I enjoy learning about history. I really enjoy spending time with my 6 children and 22 grandchildren. My wife and I are presently preparing to serve a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I have been interested in God. Even before my family was active in the Church I ask about God. Through out my life I have learned more about him and seen his hand in my life. I have learned line upon line precept upon precept. I have learned by experience that God answers prayers. As I have studied the Scriptures I have had the Spirit Testify to me of thier truthfulness. I have learned from diffrent challanges through out my life that God will help us through them. That he is alway there, and will help us. He answered our prayers to keep me from going to Viet Nam, but instead sent me to Germany so we could be sealed in the Temple together with my wife. When we were told our 7 year old daughter had Leukemia and may not live for more than two years. I went to The Lord in prayer and felt him comfort me and give me strength to go through. I felt his spirit like an arm reaching around my shoulders as if to say it will be alright and I will be here. She is now 40 years old and has a family of her own. I have prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true and felt his answer in my heart. I have prayered to know if Joseph Smith really saw The Father and The Son in that grove of trees and the spirit bore witness to me so storng that I couldn't speak of walk for several minutes. I know with all my heart that this is the Chuch of Jesus Christ on the Earth today. I know that Jesus is The Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life each day so I can show I have a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have served in many leadership positions in the Church. I have worked with the Youth in the Scouting program and other activities. I love helping others. I really enjoy visiting the homes of several families and checking on them and getting to know them and helping whenever I can. I try to be honest in my dealing with everyone and try to have patience with other like I would like them to be to me. When at work or everyday I try to share my Testimony of Jesus Christ in what I do and what I say. The gospel is my life because it brings me together with my family and friends and neighbors.
