Hi I'm Josi MacDonald

I'm an EMT, a runner, a dreamer, and a die hard "Tangled" fan; but, most importantly-- I'm a Mormon.

About Me

That awkward moment when you suddenly forget who you are when asked to talk about yourself. Yikes. Justttt kidding. The name's Josi. I'm a recent convert. (Baptized Nov. 25th 2012). I just graduated high school. And I work in the medical field as an EMT. I love my job. I love my faith. I love my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon? Well that question is the easiest to answer! I'm a Mormon because I read The Book of Mormon. It is as simple as that. I would not be here typing this if I hadn't picked up that little blue and gold book. There's absolutely not enough room to write out my whole conversion story, so I'll keep it short and sweet. My bestfriend is a Mormon. He talked about his faith, and I grew interested in it. I visited the LDS church several times. At one point I noticed a Book of Mormon in the front seat of his car and asked if I could borrow it because I was curious to see what it was all about. Of course, he agreed. So I read it. 10 chapters a day for three weeks. Reading those last few verses hit me hard enough for me to just break down into tears afterwards. I was just so moved by the Spirit, knowing what I had read is true, and absolutely flawless. That was the day I realized that I not only just wanted to get baptized, I needed to. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true. I know that we have prophets today that are here on the earth to teach us and to guide us through whatever we may be facing. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our current prophet. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and that our sins can be forgiven through His atonement. I know that He lives today. I know that this is God's true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following our Savior's example, and loving others just as He loves each and every one of us. I share the gospel with anyone and everyone, and do service for others whenever I get the chance. Being an active member of the Church allows me to retain a better knowledge of our Heavenly Father, His plan for us, and His Son's eternal sacrifice.
