Hi I'm Theresa

I am a mum of three, a secretary in a primary school and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I spent my childhood in a small village in Norfolk, I was fortunate to have family close by and spent many happy hours out in the countryside with my grandmother. I met my husband when I was 14! We married after his mission when I was 18. I have two sons and one daughter who tend to keep me busy most of the time. I love my job as a school secretary and this career allows me to be home in the holidays. When I get to relax I enjoy scrap booking and watching crime dramas on tv.

Why I am a Mormon

I found the church when I was 14, I was not a very happy teenager and I was making some foolish and maybe even dangerous choices. As soon as I heard about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon I knew it was true. I had prayed to God that he would help me and he sent me the gospel. I love what the gospel offers my family, as we live the standards we are blessed and protected. The feelings of peace that come from knowing that my Heavenly Father is there for me and that my Saviour died for me can carry me through trials.

How I live my faith

I teach a group of teenagers a programme of scripture study called seminary. We meet together at my home and via Skype 3 mornings a week at 6.30! I really love helping these young people understand the scriptures and apply the principles to their daily lives. I love the standards that the church encourages us to hold. I find that as I prepare my lessons I learn so much and it helps me to remember who I am.
