Hi I'm Michelle Corinne Perry

I am a missionary in California. I am a daughter. I am a sister. I am a friend. I am a MORMON! :)

About Me

I am currently a missionary in Long Beach, California. I got here in July and will serve until January of 2015. I am a student at Utah State University in Logan, UT and I LOVE it there. I took a break from my studies right before I left to live with my parents in Sparks (Reno), Nevada. I have gotten to come on my mission early because the Church has changed the age for girls to go on missions. I have a mixed family with three immediate siblings, four step, and four in laws. Two of my step sisters are Down Syndrome twins and they are one of the happiest parts about my life. My mom passed away when I was 11 years old and my dad remarried a woman who I adore and I love her SO much! My family is one of my greatest blessings and I love them all deeply. I love to travel and experience new things. I love to get to know people and hear their stories. I love the Gospel and the Church and I love choosing to be happy!

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I grew up in the church but that definitely isn't the reason why I've stayed in it. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truth and I feel empowered, happy, and alive knowing that I am apart of the truth on this earth. My Heavenly Father has made himself known in my life as well as my Savior Jesus Christ. I am blessed by my knowledge and receive happiness from that. I am truly the happiest when I am following the principles and commandments of the Gospel. I know that I can handle anything in this life because I have God on my side.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the Lord as a full time missionary in Long Beach, California. I attend the temple as often as I can and I try to serve people everyday. I live my faith by dressing modestly, keeping myself clean, by listening to good music and watching good movies and trying to do what God expects of me. The biggest thing I do to live my faith though is try my hardest to live like the Savior did. I fall short.... a lot. But when I actually try to do what he would do instead of what I want to do in the moment, I am always happier. Living what you believe can seem hard until you actually try it. Faith always precedes the miracle. Action always procedes motivation.
