Hi I'm Maxime Thelier

I'm a french student, I love my family, I am a missionary, I am a mormon

About Me

I'm the oldest of a 4 children's family, a student in economy and management. I currently serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the mission of Manchester in England. I feel extremely blessed to be able to be full-time missionary and to bring me more of my Heavenly Father and bring his children to him. Bring children of my Heavenly Father closer to him so they can have the happiness he offers me is the greatest blessing and possible source of joy in this life. My family, like me, is member, it strengthen us, we know we can rely on each other at any time. Being missionary made me really see the importance of the family in the plan of our Heavenly Father and the family, what it offers is truly orderly God, knowing that I can qualify to live eternity with them myself gives even more hope and joy when I think. My friends are not all Mormons, but I spend very good moments with them, it's moments like those of which give me a taste of what my Heavenly Father prepared me and give me if I am faithfully to Him and if I follow Him without any doubt

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon beause my parents always taught me good teachings and teahcings of the church as if I needed some time to learn how importantthey are for us. The teachings of the church of Jesus-Christ of Later Day Saints are true, good and give hapiness to everyone who respect them

How I live my faith

Faith to me is something that you have to live every day, striving to recognize the blessings and the hands of our Heavenly Father, his creations and thus the beauty of this world. Faith helps me every day of my life because it helps me to always see the good side of things and gives me hope. I see this gospel as a treasure that we must share and develop knowledge for even greater happiness than what we already know. I live my faith by studying the Holy scriptures my Heavenly Father gave us, such as the Bible and The Book of Mormon, these Holy Scriptures really help me to be closer to my Heavenly Father and know more about who He is to me and to everyone on this Earth. I can really feel His love inside the scriptures and see that He has a plan for us and a divine help for every one of our trials, even if it looks really hard, I know that He sent His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to take upon Him all the sins of the world to allow us to be cleansed from our sins, and giving us the ability to come back in His presence for eternity with our family, to enjoy this eternal happiness he has for us. Prayer is also a way I express my faith, this is the way we can talk to Him, by telling Him all we have in our hearts and asking Him the help I need, I have the assurance that He will give me this divine help, but not in my time, in His time, so I will be able to learn something from my trial and increase my love to Him

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Maxime Thelier
As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, "We believe the Bible to be the word of God, as far it is translated correctly". The Bible is the word of God, it contains the personal ministry of Jesus Christ and the account of how he established His church. The Bible is the word of God. Show more Show less

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Maxime Thelier
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is called often Mormon because of the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, at the beginning of the Church, people gave us the nickname of Mormons because of the Book. However, the official name of the church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less
