Hi I'm Michael

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a 63 year old widower having just lost my wife of 34 year last May 2012. I have never been into sports, maybe because I never thought I was ever good in them and my father never watch or played them either, so never had it growing up. I love the sea and almost everything connected with it, was in the Navy for 4 years [68-72] because of it. I also I liked the look of the uniform and I had no desire to be a grunt. I am very proud of my service and served in Viet Nam for 3 tours of duty. I am very regimented and find comfort in schedules and calendars, I am early to bed early to rise, could be related to my being in the landscape industry for over 30 years.I am always early hate being late and having people be late. I restore and camp in classic vintage travel trailers both teardrop and 1950's canned ham I hope to retire in a few years. I do belong to a vintage teardrop camping club. . Love almost all music, my taste in music is very eclectic. Everything from the Beach Boys to Frank Zappa. New country, greats blues guitar, and for some reason bagpipes. So much more to much list. Hate all rap except Kid Rock....enjoy R&B, progressive rock, acid rock. bands like the Beatles, Stones, Kinks, Queen and also the likes of Billie Holiday ,etc. is all great music and I can enjoy all "good" music. You could be surprised by what is in my music library

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because if feel as if I am home every time I enter the meeting house.

How I live my faith

I am the Ward building representative, and find joy in having the ability to insure that our meeting is clean conformable and a welcoming place for our wards to assemble and gain fellowship. I attend services every week and enjoy getting involved in discussions as we learn our scriptures. My family is one of the original pioneer families, first with Joseph and then crossing the plains with Brigham, and following their calling to settle Southern California and then finally Arizona, where they finally called home settling in Snowflake Arizona
