Hi I'm Mikyla

I grew up a country girl. I love animals. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love being active. I did all types of sports growing up from basketball, volleyball, track, cross country, dancing, gymnastics, softball, to horseback riding. I would have to say dancing was my favorite. It let me express myself in a way I couldn't otherwise do. I'm a very quiet person. I don't say much but through dancing I could say a lot. I love the outdoors. I'm a country girl. I am 20 years old. I have 5 people in my family. I have a younger brother and younger sister. I go to Utah State University and I love it! I am now preparing to serve my mission in the California, Long Beach mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth today. I have found this out by reading the book of mormon and praying about it but even more important than that is I have lived it. I haven't always been a faithful member though. I have been off the path before and I realized how unhappy it made me. Satan is real and he tempts us all the time but if we follow Christ then I know that we can be happy and receive the tools we need to overcome temptations and sin. I am a mormon because I know I can be truly forgiven of my sins through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He died for me so that I may also live again with him. He loves me and loves each and every one of his children. I am choosing to serve a mission for the LDS church because I want to bring others the gospel and help them find a happiness that I have found by being a member of this church. You can't find it anywhere else. Heavenly Father wants all of his children to return to him. "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God." D&C 18:10. I am a mormon because the book of mormon is true and it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I have taught the young children in Primary at church. I have taught the 6 year olds as well as the 11 year olds. I loved it. I have been a visiting teacher. I try to always make it to church every sunday. I say my prayers morning and night and read the book of mormon daily. I am going to serve a full time mission to help others learn more about the LDS faith and come unto Christ.
