Hi I'm Steven

I'm a Ballroom Dancer. I'm a Pre-Med student preparing to serve a mission. I'm from a family of eight and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of five brothers and sisters, and a loving mom and dad. I love my family and always have so much fun when I am with them. The rainy state of Washington is where I call home, and I have spent many days exploring its beautiful rainforests or hiking up its snow-peaked mountains. I also have a love for the sunny beaches of Brisbane, Australia where my family and I lived for a time. I am currently going to college studying as a Pre-Medical student with a dream of attending Medical School and someday becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. In my spare time I love to play the piano, and spend time outdoors. I also enjoy Ballroom Dancing, and have been dancing for the past four years. I am an Eagle Scout, I love to read, I hate mushrooms, and above all I love the gospel and am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is Christ’s true church restored upon the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that my Savior lived and died so that I can one day return to him again, but only if I follow the teachings of the gospel. I have prayed and found out for myself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that knowledge gives me great comfort. I love the Mormon Church because it is also a place of refuge and comfort, where I can escape from the world and be with people who love and care about me, but most importantly uphold the same values as me.

How I live my faith

Every day, I am constantly striving just a little more to live my faith. Each morning and evening I pray to my Heavenly Father for help and guidance, and also to thank him for everything he has given me in my life. Once a day I also take the time to read the Book of Mormon or other religious text to better understand the gospel and the effect it has on my life. I also constantly strive to find ways to serve those around me. When Christ was on the earth he was constantly serving those around him, and I believe one of the best ways to show my faith in Christ is to follow his example and serve my fellowmen. In just a couple of days I will leave the United States to go serve a two year mission for the LDS church in the Spain, Barcelona mission. I am looking forward to this amazing opportunity to go and preach the gospel to the people of Spain and to be able to love and serve them.
