Hi I'm Methu

I was born in Germany. I was raised by goodly parents from Sri Lanka. I serve my mission in England. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am 23 and I love nature and sports and music. I love hanging out with my friends do lots of different activities with them, like playing basketball, football, dancing, taking videos and pictures...everything. I finished school when I was 19 and have Abitur ( aquivalent to A-level ). I worked in a care-home for 3 month and I learned that old people can be so funny, but at the same time it was also a humbling experience for me and I learned to appreciate all the hard work that old people put in their future generation. I served a mission in the England-London Mission and it was a great and most onderful experience I had, that draw me closer to God, our Heavenly Father. Now I am working in a hospital and serving as many people as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I feel close to God and I know it is true. Being a Mormon means to me having and living the lifestyle that God, our loving Heavenly Father is happy with, because I know He loves us and He is happy, when we are happy. I know it because I follow the invitation in Moroni 10:3-5 and I received an answer through many little life experiences. I know these experiences are real. I know that God is real and that he loves you and me so much that he send his only begotten Son that we might believe in him and shall not perish but have everlasting life. I know that Heavenly Father is the same yesterday, today and forever and he still loves us and gives us the chance to receive the fullness of the Gospel by sending us prophets now a days with the full authority of the priesthood, who are messengers of God and keep the doctrine of Christ pure and testify of Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is our Saviour and Redeemer and I leave this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am serving a full-time mission in the England-London Mission. As a missionary I learned to live more Christlike and to identify myself as one of many children of God. As a missionary I am inviting everybody to come unto Christ, by helping them to receive the restored Gospel. I teach people about the message and at the same time I am learning from everyone I teach and work with. I live my faith by daily scripture study and applying all the messages and personal inspiration from God in my life.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

No one choose in which family we are born into. Our Heavenly Father gives us family for a special reason, which is to learn and to grow. Everything starts in the family. I learn in my family how to love, to have fun, to share, to learn, to teach, to serve and to forgive and to feel the spirit of God. Being away from them for 2 years makes me realize how important they are and how much they mean to me. Without my family I would be nothing and I am so grateful for everything they have done for me. The knowledge that I can be with my family together forever brings me hope and makes me happy. Show more Show less
