Hi I'm Latone

I was born in American Samoa. I'm a first generation college graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the eldest of 5 children. I was born and raised in the church and love how the gospel has influenced the love and happiness within my family. I recently graduated from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and just received my mission call to labor in the San Pablo Philippines Mission. If I was to share one thing on the happiness that can come into a family by the gospel it would be the conversion of my father. My father was born and raised into a strong Catholic family, but after meeting a Return Missionary (my mother) he was able to receive the gospel and has held many church callings both at the ward level and stake level. He exercises his priesthood power every day and has become a pillar for my testimony of the happiness and strength that can come to all those who "come unto Christ".

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I was raised by my mother who is a return missionary and who converted my father. I've learned since I was a little girl of the love that my Savior has for me and the sacrifice He made and I continue to honor him through my thoughts and actions. I love this gospel and am very grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me with parents who are strong in the church and continue to nurture me in the gospel. The greatest testament that I have witnessed, thanks to the gospel, is the growth of my father and his testimony within the church. Seeing how he has held many callings at a branch, high counsel, and now a stake level it has truly increased my testimony on the truthfulness of this gospel. I'm a Mormon. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

Each day I thank my Heavenly Father for the life that He has blessed me with and for also adding another day to the lives of those I love. As I continue to draw nearer to Him I find that my days are filled with love, laughter, and joy. I live my faith by trying my best to be an obedient daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and by repenting for the mistakes that I make. I've held various callings within my little branch and am currently serving as a nursery teacher for children 18 months to 2 years old. The children truly are a blessing to me and an example that is helping me in my preparations to serve a mission.
