Hi I'm Kristi

Born and raised in Utah, I love reading Young Adult novels, painting, superhero movies, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated in 2012 and love College. My motivation in life is often fun, and I thoroughly enjoy humorous content on the internet. I also love reading in my spare time, and write fanfiction for fun. Art has always fascinated me, and I hope one day to go on a cruise to Europe and browse all the art I studied in Art History. I love drawing and painting as well, and want to get degrees in both Illustration and Animation. Animated movies have always had a soft spot in my heart, and quoting funny lines from movies in general is something I do daily. I'm serving a full time mission starting January 2014 in South Korea.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church and it's teachings have saved me. My junior year of high school I fell into a depression and failed 3/4 of my classes. The last half of the year I barely even went to school, sleeping when everyone else was awake and vice versa. I felt hopeless, scared and alone. I had convinced myself I was a complete failure. Many friends and family tried to help. Specifically my only sister, who never gave up on me, constantly lifted me higher, required no answers from me, and thus gave me more hope and advice than anyone -- enough to keep me going. When that still wasn't enough, I listened to my sisters constant advice to turn to God, let the pride holding me together at the seams like tape rip, and with a humble heart and contrite spirit I finally relied on God to take me through the baby steps into recovery. I began to earnestly read the Book of Mormon and pray every morning and night. It was scary for me to put so much trust in the Lord, to be vulnerable like that with another, but it's through those personal moments with God that I came to learn a few very important facts: 1) After all that anyone could do it is only God who could reach me in the depth of my darkest hours and pull me back out. 2) God loves me with infinite forgiveness and mercy. 3) I am not defined by my past mistakes thanks to Christ's Atonement. And I graduated, in more ways than one. It is because of this church and my relationship with God that I am a Mormon, and humbly so.

How I live my faith

I'm somewhat shy in my church ward, and so I simply attempt to make friends. Once I make friends though I love helping all my close relations by bearing my testimony and sharing my past experiences and trials that I've overcome. The best I can do is love and support them and show by example what I can. :) Often times that is all that is needed.
