Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a sister. I'm a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm just a girl who loves her family! I love the not-so-quiet evenings playing games with my family, and eating a treat or two. Spending time with them is definitely one of my favorite hobbies. We are all best friends and know everything about each other. We know how to make each other laugh, and we know how to avoid making each other upset. They are the people I will stay with forever, so I better make these relationships count!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the confirmations of the Holy Spirit testify to me that this church is the true church. It has testified to me that all the teachings and principles are how I should be living, and I am. I love to attend my church meetings and learn new things, and ask questions about doctrines and principles. I know it is true, because living the standards of the church provides blessings in my life that I wouldn't get anywhere else. Seriously, nothing bad ever happens to me, and I believe it is because I have the church in my life, and learn and think about the gospel daily. :)

How I live my faith

I love praying. Especially when it's for more than five minutes. Taking the time to actually speak to my Heavenly Father, and not just repeating the everyday stuff really gets me thinking about how he blesses me specifically each day. I thank Him for blessings that I notice, and I believe that tender mercies shouldn't be taken for granted. It's the small blessings that make the biggest difference. I can't go a day without reading the scriptures. I love reading the familiar stories in the Bible and the Book of Mormon that I learned in primary. I like to take notice of the acts of faith and miracles that happened in that past, and that are still happening today! Practicing my talents is very important too. I have been blessed with many homemaking skills and I know they can be used to bless others if I improve them and take the time to make myself better.
