Hi I'm Alison

I'm a Texan, a student, and a daughter of God. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently returned home from Peru. For eighteen months I shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with all the wonderful Peruvians I met and loved. I hope to continue sharing my testimony throughout my life. I hope to continue studying as a college student, developing a closer relationship with my Heavenly Father, and to get married in the temple. I look forward to and love my life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Gospel is true! I am so grateful the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is once again on the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith, and am proud to be a part of it. I love the Book of Mormon and know it is the word of God because I have read it and prayed to know if it is true. The Holy Ghost has witnessed to me that it is through a peaceful feeling every time I read it. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much peace to my life during hard times, and gives me the power and determination to keep going. I know I have a loving Heavenly Father who has a plan for me, helps guide my life, and loves me so much that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to earth to perform the Atonement so I can return to live with him one day. I am grateful for this knowledge I have and for the joy and perspective that the gospel gives me each day! I am so blessed and want all to receive the blessings the gospel has to offer.

How I live my faith

Each day I read my scriptures, pray, and look for simple ways to serve others. I strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ and to say and do what He would. While I'm not perfect, I have hope and faith that I can improve and be a light to others. That is how I show my faith.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Alison
We increase our faith in Jesus Christ through actions. As we choose to keep the commandments and to act on the things we feel are right, we will increase our faith. When I have gone through trials, I have seen my faith in Jesus Christ grow as I have relyed on him for help through prayer, scripture study, and attending church. We are able to develope greater faith in Jesus Christ when we make the choice to turn to him when most people would turn away. Show more Show less
