Hi I'm Connie Maglioli

I grew up on the glorious Canadian Prairies, I love my large family, my sweet husband and my life! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy, cheerful, positive person. I try to glean wonder, beauty and amazing stories out of the everyday, ordinary things that often just pass on by. As a mother of eight and grandmother of eight I have learned to be patient with this journey we call life. I thoroughly enjoy helping others reach their goals. I have a quirky gift that has brought me much joy. For some reason unknown to me, perfect strangers are compelled to tell me about their lives. I have met the most incredible people and have heard many stories because of it. Perhaps it is because I genuinely like and am interested in people of all ages and backgrounds! I began to pursue in earnest my fitness and health over two years ago. I have managed to lose a significant amount of weight and now include working out as part of my every day life. I I have many interests, I love to write, sew, quilt, ski, crochet, paint, work out, and fish!

Why I am a Mormon

I can't imagine living my life any other way. The great mysteries of God and why I am here, what is the purpose of life have all been answered. I was given an assignment in school studying ancient American civilizations. I soon surmised that Jesus Christ had to have visited the America's. A couple of years later two missionaries knocked on our door. My father insisted they leave but before they did they gave me a Book of Mormon. That night I knelt on the floor, I opened the book and I felt the spirit come over me. It was an experience I had never had before. It brought to remembrance a dream I had as a small child. I was told in my dream that I didn't know what I was here for but that one day I would. I heard a voice as audible as any other say to me..."You didn't know what you were here for...but now you do" My heart leapt in my chest as I began to read from it's pages and learned that indeed, Jesus Christ had come to visit the peoples of the Western Hemisphere. I know that these experiences prepared me to receive the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have served in many areas in Church and in our community.I enjoy teaching youth to consider the global community they live in and have taught workshops where youth have made hundreds of blankets and emergency kits to be sent abroad. I have networked to become a specialist in teaching and organizing Community Food Drives. I have been a keynote speaker and workshop presenter at conferences addressing adults and youth about various issues, which has helped me gain invaluable experience and so I am comfortable speaking to large groups.
