Hi I'm Jacob

I'm not a particularly remarkable person. But I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a full-time missionary for the Chruch, serving in the Indonesia Jakarta Mission. Before coming on a mission, I attended Brigham Young University for a year. I intend to return there when I complete my mission, and finish my schooling as a math education major. I want to be a math teacher at either the high school or university level. I enjoy road biking, reading, and music.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel at home here, because I love the message that it shares, and because it helpes me be a better person. But mostly, I am a Mormon because I know that it contains the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Gospel preached by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is completely true. I know that Christ died for me and for you, and that through his sacrifice, we can repent of our sins and live with Him again. I know that my family can live forever together after this life, a fact which is incredibly comforting. I also know that following God's commandments will make me a better person. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be happy, and this church is His way of allowing that to happen. And I know that without this church, I would be lost in the world, not knowing where to go or who to turn to.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving the Lord as a full time missionary to the people of Indonesia. It takes all of my time, and I have sacrificed two years of my life to be here. But I know that it is the place that I need to be, and although I have not been serving for long, I can already see the positive changes in myself and the progression that I am making.
