Hi I'm Claire Fernandez

I'm a wife, a mother, a student of life, and a Mormon.

About Me

I have a deep love for travel, for family, for education, and for experiencing life! I am married to a wonderful, capable, ambitious man and we work together to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and to find joy in everything we experience-the bad and the good. We are expecting our first child and my dream is to become the best mother I can be. I love to travel, sing, spend time with family, and learn! The world is full of beautiful opportunities for growth and I intend to take advantage of many of them. I view education as a means of learning, gaining as much knowledge as we can in order to draw closer to God and gain skills that will assist me in parenthood. Heavenly Father's plan for His children is focused on the family, the means of great, deep, and lasting joy. Centering my life on the Savior's teachings keeps me going every day and gives me hope on the days that are darkest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It's a decision I have to make every day but the blessings I receive from striving to keep God's commandments greatly outweigh the sacrifices I make to do so. The Lord has greatly blessed me with a simple faith and a strong devotion to Him, despite the trials I've faced in life and my personal shortcomings so I feel a strong sense of responsibility to serve others in gratitude. After a lot of soul-searching, praying, reading The Book of Mormon, and other personal experiences, I have come to say with surety that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church established on the earth, the fullness of His gospel taught therein. This is the pathway back to our Heavenly Father's presence.

How I live my faith

What I love most about being a Mormon is that it isn't just a religion-it's a lifestyle! It's a lifestyle of service and love. Finding joy in the journey is deeply important to me and that joy comes from serving. While others may see this as an opportunity to "live life on the edge", I try to use it as an excuse to help someone whenever I can, to be an example of Christ and spread the love of our Heavenly Father to those who need it-and everyone needs it!
