Hi I'm Delaney

I was born and raised in Utah. I study linguistics and love languages. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying linguistics at BYU Provo. I love to read and write, but mostly I love languages. I've studied Spanish and Mandarin Chinese, and soon have the opportunity to learn Swedish. I also love to dance, especially in the Folk Dance program at BYU. My favorite style of dance is clogging because it's so fast and so fun!

Why I am a Mormon

There have been times in my life when I've felt alone and friendless on the Earth. During those times, I remember the things I've been taught through the church about God's love for me. I know that I am a daughter of God and the He loves me and wants me to be happy. I also know that through the atonement, Jesus Christ experienced every trial and hardship that I'll suffer during this life, so He knows exactly what I'm going through. When I remember that, I feel His comfort and God's love, and I know that I am never alone. My mind and heart are at peace and I am comforted by the knowledge of where I came from and why I'm here.

How I live my faith

Every week I have the opportunity to share my love of music by playing the organ in my ward. I also attend institute classes at my school where I can associate with other members of the church, go to fun activities, strengthen my testimony, and make new friends. I find many service opportunities through my ward, especially sharing my testimony through music.
