Hi I'm Dylan

I'm a husband, father, pharmaceutical rep, wood worker, I'm a huge Metallica fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Dylan, I live in Clovis, California with my wife and our 4 boys. I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in business from California State University, Fresno, and I work for Actavis Pharmaceuticals in the Strategic Accounts division. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, wood working and spending time with my family. I'm also a huge Metallica fan!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of the Church, as are all my brothers and sisters, but for each of us it has been critical to know for our selves whether or not the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I was 12 the first time I read the Book of Mormon from beginning to end, and at the end of the Book of Mormon we are given a promise by a prophet, Moroni, who lived here over 1500 years ago. Moroni said that we can ask Heavenly Father whether or not the book is true, and that if we have faith that Father will answer us, that we can know by the Holy Ghost that The Book of Mormon is true. So I prayed, and asked whether the Book of Mormon was true, and the answer I got in reply was one of the sweetest experiences of my life. I felt the reassurance of the Holy Ghost that the Book is true, I have felt my testimony of Jesus Christ grow, and strengthen as I have read the Book of Mormon. I have followed that same model to learn whether or not Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know, by the Holy Ghost that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that because Heavenly Father loves his children that he continues to call prophets today to guide us and help us return to Him.

How I live my faith

Church activity is a central part of how I live my faith, each sunday my family and I attend services at our local building, we learn about The Savior and how we can try to emulate His Example. Every Monday night, is Family night, and as a family we read the scriptures, study and learn together. An integral part of our family-night activity is game-time which usually involves my boys schooling me on the latest video game (it helps to keep me humble!). The family relationship is designed to last forever, and The Gospel helps us to make the family stronger. Each Sunday I teach a class for young people preparing to serve Church missions, it's a blast, I love it! Recently we have been able to provide service in Clovis by helping to clean-up local parks and plant and prune trees along many of the roads in town.
