Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Utah and Texas. I love music, being outside, and being with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently attend Brigham Young University. I love to be outside, feel the sun on my face, and to be around people. I grew up one of the youngest of a large family. I love listening to and playing music. I've been called to serve as a full-time missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 18 months in Brazil! I love to be happy, and to find the joy in each day. I know that I can do this, even when days seem gray, because I have the strength of a loving Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, on my side.

Why I am a Mormon

I know without a doubt this church is true. This is the church that our Savior, and elder brother, Jesus Christ, organized while he was on the earth. Through the teachings of this gospel, I repeatedly feel peace, comfort, and strength in knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who dearly loves and cares about me. Because of His love for me, and all His children on this earth, He created a plan--the Plan of Happiness. This plan explains itself in its name. By following the commandments God has given us, and as we act on the promptings we receive from the Holy Ghost, we will be happy, and one day we will return to live with our Heavenly Father and receive eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

Currently, in my ward, I organize activities for a group of people each week, usually on Monday nights, for our Family Home Evening activity. Since we're all in college, the people in my ward, and in this Family Home Evening Group, we're not biological family, but we are just as good. As we get together for an activity each week, we strengthen, encourage and show care and love for one another.
