Hi I'm Mickell

I'm an Idaho girl. I'm a musician. I'm a sister and a daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

At this time I am a senior in high school. After high school I plan to go to college and figure out what I want to study and also have a good time.:) I am excited for college because I know alot of growing happens during that phase of life. I would like to serve a mission after a year of school and then I don't know what after that! I love being with my family. I am the youngest of 6 kids in my family and the first four are married. My brother just above me in age died on December 14, 2011 but we are still very excited to see him again! I have five neices and 2 nephews, all VERY adorable! I love playing piano and singing. I also enjoy doing musicals. I love being around people. I like to make people laugh and I love having a fun time with my friends and I love making new friends too!

Why I am a Mormon

This is a gospel I love very much. I've always been a Mormon but I was truly convinced of its truth when I was older, when I became a teenager. I was very insecure and unhappy when I was young and I'd always wanted something to hang onto to help me feel important and help me feel better about myself. This is when I started to pay attention to the Gospel more. As I did this, I learned that Heavenly Father loves me and that he sees me and that I am VERY important to him. This started to spin the wheel and over time I knew the truth of the Gospel because it gave me happiness and truth that I know I would never have been able to find somewhere else. I'd face several trials after that, and when I turned to Heavenly Father, he always helped me, he never let me down when I was obedient to what he asked of me. The biggest trial thus far in my life was losing my big brother and best friend. Heavenly Father manifested himself and the truth of the gospel to me many times during that time in my life. After his death, I'd listen often to the words of the prophets, the scriptures, church leaders and friends for guidance. They'd use the words of the gospel and they always spoke truth. Many things happenend and continue to happen after his death and the words of the prophets and scriptures always confirm the truth of these miracles that I've experienced. The person who played the biggest role in this adversity is my Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of his atonement, I will be with my brother again for the rest of eternity. I'm so thankful for him, I love him so much for his atonement made for every one of us. He and our Heavenly Father know us and love us so much and care about us. This gospel is true and it has been restored by a true prophet, Joseph Smith. I testify that our Savior lives. He lived a perfect life and he showed us the way we must go. Following in his footsteps will lead to eternal and lasting happiness. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

At this time in am serving as the president of my young womens class. I am also serving as the youth chorister in my church. Even though it is scary, I love speaking in church activities. I think speaking has been one of my talents given to me and I am grateful for it and I enjoy doing it. I especially enjoy bearing my testimony. I have always walked away feeling good whenever I have shared my feelings and testimony somewhere.
