Hi I'm Lyndsey

Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy. (2 Nephi 2:25)

About Me

My name is Lyndsey Rawlins, and I’m a Microbiology major attending BYU-Idaho. I love to read, write, draw, design, and learn. Aside from that, I have a huge obsession with movies and gaming. I enjoy running, and healthy eating. I think if there is anything that comes before these things though, it is my love for the gospel and by that my Heavenly Father. Currently, I’m serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in San Antonio Texas! My favorite scripture is 2 Nephi 2:25, "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy."

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints to be the restored gospel here upon the earth. I've had it testified to me in my heart, and have a personal belief in it. I know that I am a daughter of god, and that my heavenly father has a divine plan for me. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that the book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have a personal testimony of the atonement, and am so grateful for the gift of repentance. I love the church, my savior, and heavenly father. I'm proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I learn. It is as simple as that. The more I learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ, the more profound and right it feels to me. I enjoy learning, and that is a good thing because there is an infinite amount of material/thoughts/doctrine and inspiration I have yet to delve into. Aside from learning, I have to say that prayer is my next best answer to this question. Through prayer, my Heavenly Father has given me all the answers my studying could not. Through prayer, I have been comforted, protected, and inspired in ways I can only suggest (it would take days to recount). Through prayer I have built a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is indeed Christ's restored church here upon the earth. I live my faith by trying to be happy. One of my very favorite scriptures is, 2 Nephi 2:25 "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy." It reminds me that this life isn't meant to bring us constant misery, it is meant to bring us happiness. Through the trials we face, we just have to look for that joy.
