Hi I'm Trevor Ward

I live in Pleasant Grove, Utah. I will be serving in the Spain Barcelona mission on July 24th, 2013. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been placed in a loving family of 8 who all care deeply about me. My family is awesome and I don't know what I would do without them. We love to spend time with one another. My family has many jokes that only my family would appreciate. We love to laugh and have been told by many people that our laugh is "awesome and contagious." My family has made me who I am today. I absolutely love sports. Ever since I was a little boy I have always loved to play and watch sports. With an organized team I have played baseball, soccer, basketball, and football. I also enjoy playing ping pong, golf, racquetball, tennis, bowling, badminton, ultimate frisbee, swimming, horseshoe, and many others. Sports have always been and will always be a part of my life. Education has been a major part of my life, especially the last couple years. In May of 2013 I will graduate from High School as well as with my Associate's Degree. I say that not to be prideful in anyway, but say it to show how fortunate I really am with the life I have been given. I received my mission call to the Spain Barcelona mission a couple weeks ago and cannot wait to serve on July 24, 2013! This is something I have been looking forward to my entire life and can't believe I leave so soon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and will never leave His, Jesus Christ's, gospel. I continue to follow His gospel because His gospel is the reason why I am who I am today. His gospel brings be more happiness than anything else on this earth. As I said, I have always been a Mormon, but haven't always completely understood why I'm a Mormon. The first time I finished the book of Mormon was wonderful, but the second time was even better. I finished the Book of Mormon for the second time 3 months ago. After finishing the Book of Mormon for the second time I decided to find out for myself if the book was indeed true. I prayed to my Father in Heaven and asked Him if the book was true. I received an answer and felt in my heart that the Book of Mormon was true. The Book of Mormon is the truest book on earth. Because of my knowledge of the Book of Mormon, I have decided to continue to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). The teachings from the Book of Mormon provide me with all the answers that I need. I know my purpose here in life and where I am going after this life on earth. I am completely at peace because I am a Mormon. I have a testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that He atoned for my sins so that I can have a chance to live with my Father in Heaven again someday. I know that through repentance I can change the very nature of my being and become the best person I can possibly become. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon for the benefit of our day. I know that we are guided by a living prophet today and if we follow the counsel of the prophet our lives will be full of joy. I know that when I live the principles of the gospel my life is better. I love the temple and know it is the house of the Lord. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves me.

How I live my faith

First of all, I try and live as though my Savior, Jesus Christ, would live. I am a representative of Him and strive to fulfill the things He would have me do. Last summer I was called to be on seminary council at my high school. I serve with 14 other high school seniors in which each member of seminary council covers a stake. For this calling our ultimate goal is to bring others unto Christ. We work together with seminary teachers and try to figure out the best way to make others lives' full of happiness. We plan activities for the seminary body to have fun and come unto Christ. This calling has immensely blessed my life as a high school senior. My ward is amazing. The love I feel from the members of my ward is incredible. There are so many people in my ward who love and care about me and my family. When a family is moving into or out of our ward we, as a ward, always try and help with their move. Whenever ward members need help with anything, our ward takes great care of the members in need. I try my best to live my faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). I follow the counsel of modern day prophets as well as prophets of old. I have many modern day resources as well as other, older resources that encourage me to live my faith. I read and study the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price, and the Bible in search for ways to better myself as an individual.
