Hi I'm Lesley

I grew up in Essex England. I became a Mormon when I was 18

About Me

I am a mother of seven children and also have four grandchildren. I got married to Stephen Williams in 2013 he has 5 children and 16 grandchildren. I love to play board games. I also enjoy going to the cinema and love live theatre especially musicals.I love to travel and have been to Church in many countries including,- New Zealand, Thailand, The Philippines, India, Hungary, Poland, Canada, The USA and many European Countries. With the combination of 12 children and 21 grandchildren we are kept quite busy, but still have time to have lots of fun and enjoyment as we spend time in our beautiful countryside. As we are now serving as missionaries we are also enjoying the beautify of the Scottish glens and lochs. We feel very blessed to know our purpose here on earth and try to make the most of this blessing

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church when I was 18. I attended the baptism of one of my younger Sister's I then received discussions from the Missionaries. I knew as they taught me and as I prayed about those things that it was right for me to be baptised and become a member of the Church. I have been an active member of the Church for 42 years and I have never looked back and know that the decision I made when I was 18 was right and changed my life. I know through prayer, studying the scriptures and the many spiritual experiences I have had over the years that the Church is true. The Lords Church fell into apostasy when the Prophets and Apostles were killed. And I know through prayer that when the young boy Joseph Smith did indeed see God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and that was the beginning of the restoration of the Lord's Church to the earth and that the Priesthood was restored to the earth and that the Church is organised the way the Lord set out when He was on the earth with a Prophet and Apostles. The Church blesses my life and gives me the knowledge of my purpose here on the earth and gives me the knowledge of how to fulfil that purpose.

How I live my faith

When I am at home in Leeds I am very active in the local unit of the Church. Along with my husband I am currently serving a full-time mission in the Scotland/Ireland mission we are serving in the Oban area. I am also involved with helping people with being involved in doing Family History work especially indexing which is transferring records such as Shipping Records, Electoral Records and Parish Records onto a free family history site helping people to do their Family Ancestral Research. Along with another lady I visit some individual ladies each month to share a church message and to offer help if they have any special needs.
