Hi I'm Michael

I grew up in California. I am a singer, writer, and student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an eagle scout and a video game enthusiast. I am a drawer, singer, writer; in short, I love to create. I draw inspiration from the world around me and the difficult and happy times that I have experienced in this life. I am currently working to earn money for my mission so I can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I spend a lot of my time working (sometimes 50-60 hours a week) at a manufacturing plant. The rest of my time is spent with my best friend and my family. I cannot wait to be a father and to make strides into the music industry when I return from my mission. I feel that my entire life purpose is to have a family, to love them with all of my heart, and serve them with all my strength. My goal is to become a pediatrician with the money to go to school coming from my time singing. I love children and the wonderful spirit that they spread wherever they go. I want to assist those innocent ones in having the best health possible so that they can grow up and continue to spread that spirit. I know that my future is bright and I cannot help but smile at the life I have ahead of me, struggles and heartaches in all.

Why I am a Mormon

I have not always been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Until I was 15 I went to all of the meetings and felt the influence of the gospel in my life, but I never absorbed the messages it had into my soul. I decided I did not need it out of a prideful "I can do things just fine on my own" attitude. So until the age of 18 I did things I wanted to do instead of things I knew I should do. I had fun and didn't think about tomorrow. But as time went on I found that I received no fulfillment from the life I was leading. I felt no contentment and always wanted more: more out of life, more of a future. So at Stake conference I was feeling the lowest I had in my entire life and just made the choice: I want to be happy. So I dedicated myself to applying the teachings of the gospel in my life. I took advantage of the atonement. Ever since that day I have strove to keep the commitments I have made to God and myself. And whenever I do so, I am happy. I am a Mormon because it is the only thing in my life that has made me feel content. Living by its teachings has freed me from the sorrow of past years that I brought upon myself. And I am a Mormon because I want to share this love and happiness with everyone I meet.

How I live my faith

I live my faith currently by preparing to serve a mission. I am working 50-60 hours a week toward obtaining funds to embark upon this journey. I help everyone I can who asks me. I pray wherever I go for guidance from God in the things that I should do and for the ability to love everyone. I strive to connect better to my fellow human beings each and every day. And to find those in need of happiness or uplifting, and I share with them the Gospel and how it has brought me to such a place of contentment and joy. I taught my best friend the Gospel when she felt something missing in her life and had the privilege to baptize her last year. I live my faith by following its teachings and being an example to those around me, not for my own personal gain, but to try and show a happier way of living. I want all to be able to feel the joy that I feel and the best way I know how to help them towards that is to live the gospel in every way I can. I live my faith by practicing its teachings in private and in public. This is not a thing I do to have other people be aware of how "good" I am, but to show God that I love him. And because of that love I have for him and the love I know he has for all of us, I live my faith wherever I go and for all to see that they might come to know of his love for them if they are not aware already.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Pray to him for the ability to recognize his influence in you life and the love that he has for you. Read the scriptures so that the history of what he has done for everyone throughout history will be evident. And actually be willing to experiment on the teachings he gives by living them so you can receive the blessings he has for you. Show more Show less
