Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Utah, the past two years I have lived in Northern Virginia. I'm a black belt and artist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just barely 19 years old, and have been called to serve in the Manchester New Hampshire Mission. When I get back I strive to attend college as a art major with a minor in teaching. I love painting I wish I had more time on my hands to paint. I mostly enjoy painting nature and landscapes. I have three sisters, one older, two younger. My older sister is married and lives in Utah. My other two sisters are 14 and 12. I enjoy cooking and baking. My Mom is a wonderful cook and I look up to her allot. I look forward to having my own family and being a mother. I have two dogs named Sophie and Prudence, they are Pomeranian's and very cute.

Why I am a Mormon

My Mother is a life long member and my Father converted when he was twelve, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple. I have also been a life long member I was baptized when I was eight it was a wonderful experience and a day I will strive to remember forever. As I grew up I always knew the gospel is the true gospel. My own testimony really developed as I grew up and began to attend seminary, girls camp, and youth conference. Seminary really helped me know that we have a savior who loves us individually and died for us and suffered for your sins on the cross. And then over came death so we may be resurrected some day. I have a strong love for my Father in Heaven and I know that he loves more than I can comprehend and he feels joy when I am doing my best to keep his commandments and strive to do better and better each day. I have a strong testimony of Joseph Smith, he is a man of God and was a amazing prophet. Having been in the sacred grove the spirit felt in that grove is one you cannot deny. Joseph Smith did translate the Book of Mormon. It is a book from God and when I strive to do my best and read it everyday I feel the spirit more steadily though out the day. I know this Church is the Church of God and I love it and all it contains. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord, Amen.

How I live my faith

I strive to be a example of the church. Living away from the church headquarters is very different. There are less members here and being one of few is sometimes trying. I also try to use terms like ward and stake or "Mormon" terms so people ask questions and I can share more about being a Mormon. I teach the sunbeams (3-4 year old children) in my ward. They are very sweet and innocent. I love teaching them. Previously I taught in the Nursery, they are very sweet and caring. I enjoyed their mostly smiling faces on Sundays. I love visiting the Temple lately I have been able to go once a week, and I am very thankful for the spirit there and the opportunity to do Temple work. I love to go to the Temple.
