Hi I'm Trevon

I grew up in Hurricane Utah. I am a college student at Utah Valley University. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student at Utah Valley University where I am getting my general ed. done. I love to spend time in the outdoors on my spare time doing things like fishing, hiking, cross-country skiing, and camping. I also like running ever since I was on the cross-country team in high-school. I love to listen to 80's rock. I have a dream that one day I will retire as a cowboy, even though I am not one now.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always grown up in the church, but this is not why I am a mormon. My parents simply introduced me to the gospel. One reason why I am a mormon is because I have prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true. I was answered in an unexpected way: as I finished my prayer I had many images and memories enter my mind of the blessings that have come from reading, and living the gospel contained in the Book of Mormon. The spirit was undeniable and I know that not only the book, but Joseph Smith and The Church in its entirety is true. I have also had countless experiences and blessings that have resulted from following the commandments God has given. I have been delivered from death, sickness, emotional pain, nervousness, fear, and personal doubts through the power of prayer. I have lived in a home where I can plainly see that the gospel blesses families. It has become so evident that I can not deny it. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints is correct in every way. It was founded by a prophet: Joseph Smith through the direction of God the father and his loving son Jesus Christ. It is the same gospel that Jesus himself instigated while he was on the earth; it has simply been restored. I know the Book of Mormon is true through reading it and living it. I am a Mormon because being a Mormon and living by the values of the church makes me happy. A happiness that can be found no where else.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing what I have been called to do; whether that be a call to serve a full-time mission, or simple callings withing my ward. I am on a committee which helps people find employment, and I am also a missionary for my ward. I love helping out in my community. I used to be on the youth city council and served as mayor. I perhaps will serve on the city council one day. I am always willing to serve when I am asked to.
