Hi I'm Dallen Done

I'm from Utah, I'm a ginger, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I do anything and everything outdoors. If I haven't done it yet then I am always willing to try it. I served an LDS Mission in the Philippines from 2006-2008. My mission has influenced several of my life-decisions. I learned Tagalog on my mission and because of the joy and excitement that I experienced from learning a second language I decided to study Linguistics at Brigham Young University. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Linguistics and a minor in Linguistics Computing. I am currently working full-time as a supervisor at the Missionary Training Center. My decision to work at the MTC was also influenced by my decision to serve a mission. My mission has meant everything to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family. My parents were wonderful examples and they taught me from a very young age the importance of going to and participating in church every week. When I was young and put up a fight about going to church, I remember my parents telling me, "You can go to church sad, or you can go to church happy. Either way, you're going to church." I gained a testimony for myself during the summer when I was 14-years-old. I attended a church youth program at the BYU campus and I had several spiritual experiences that demonstrated to me the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to serve those around me to the best of my ability. The LDS church provides so many opportunities to its members to serve others. Through serving others we can find greater peace and joy in our own lives.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Dallen Done
God is just and merciful and kind forever. Joseph Smith taught that, "Our heavenly Father is more liberal in His views, and boundless in His mercies and blessings, than we are ready to believe or receive." God loves each and every one of his children. We are all children of God. We are created in his image and are the workmanship of his hands. Although the creations of God are infinite, he seeks our individual joy and happiness above all else. He is involved in our lives on an individual level and he knows us by name. He knows our desires and the intents of our hearts. God is our heavenly Father and he is a loving father. Show more Show less
