Hi I'm Dallin Packard

I grew up in Vidor, Texas. I love to sing, act, and play my trumpet. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated high school from Vidor Texas. I was the Band Captain at my school, and have grown up in a home that supported musicianship. I play trumpet and cello, and sing. I love acting, and have been in several productions. I love chess, and was the president of the chess club (an empty title, but it's mine!) in High School. I love ping pong. I am currently serving a mission in the Philippines Naga mission. I fly out of the MTC July 15.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that following the principles taught in this church will draw me closer to the Lord. I have felt His peace, and have come to a personal knowledge of the truthfulness of this church. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father lives, and that He has restored His church on the earth today. I have been personally affected by this knowledge in so many ways. Because I know that He loves me, I am able to put forth a little more effort into loving each of His children, as He loves them. Because I know that He loves me, I am able to repent, and change who I am and become clean and pure. I know that when Jesus Christ died, He died for me. And because of that, I am able to be saved. This knowledge gives me purpose. Purpose that drives me to love, and to act, and to become more like the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving all of those around me. I constantly strive to see others the way that Christ does, as future kings and queens in the kingdom of heaven. I am at the MTC, studying and learning how to serve the Filipino people and how to share with them the message of the restoration. I live my faith by repenting constantly, looking unto Christ to set the example to me on how to live. I constantly change my nature to be closer to Christ's, an eternal struggle, I know, but the blessings of living such a life are tremendous. I seek knowledge by studying the scriptures and by listening to the words of the prophets.
