Hi I'm Mary Houtz

I am a BYU student. I have been called to serve a mission in Papeete, Tahiti. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play soccer, listen to music, and read books. I love the New York Yankees. I attend school at Brigham Young University. I have three adorable nephews that I love. I enjoy travelling all over. I enjoy just hanging out with my family and friends. I enjoy trying new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8 years old. Ever since then I have attended church and tried to better myself. I participated in activities as I grew up in the church. I love going to church and meeting new people. Being a member of the church has blessed my life in many ways, and now I want to bless others a Missionary. I know this church is true. I know the Book of Mormon is a true book that is a companion to the bible. I know Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. I know we have a living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, that leads our church. I know that families can be together forever. The Atonement is real and we can be forgiven of the mistakes we make. I am so blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week. I am going to serve a mission for 18 months in Papeete, Tahiti. I go to a Singles ward in Provo, Utah. I am a president over a class. My roommate and I visit teach every month that we are there. I dress modestly and I refrain from using bad language. I try to be an example to people that I am around.
