Hi I'm Jaimee Buckley

I am a Radiographer by trade, I love the beach and I am currently serving a full time mission in London England

About Me

I got my degree in Medical Imaging Technology in 2008 and started working as a full time Radiographer at one of the larger trauma hospitals in New Zealand. But I really wanted a new challenge in my life. So in August 2009 I packed my bags and traveled to Cambodia. There I volunteered in a orphanage in Siem Reap teaching local street kids english. Cambodia changed my life, I realize how truly lucky I am to have so much, and to be able to share what I know and love with others. A few years and more time working in different hospitals around New Zealand, I again wanted to find the next challenge. Now here I am volunteering again - this time as a missionary in London England! The ages and faces are different, but I love teaching others just how much God loves them!

Why I am a Mormon

I was taught from an early age to be a good person and to work hard. I have always had a belief in God, but only in the past 5 years of my life has that really come to mean something to me. I came to a point in my life when I had to find out if this Church really would make me the most happy. I decided to give it a try. No more sitting on the fence, I decided to live the standards and apply the teachings of the gospel fully, and see what the results would be. And I truly do know that I am the happiest when I live my beliefs and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Working in a large trauma hospital, you see many things horrible accidents and sad things that happen to good people. It has often left me to wonder why. But for me I find so much strength and peace in knowing and trusting in God. Trusting in His plan for all of us, and in His timing. I really do know that the greatest peace and happiness comes as we do our best to follow Christ, to serve him and when we share what we know with others!

How I live my faith

I believe I am my faith. I simply try to be who Jesus Christ would have me be. I am not perfect but I am trying to be a little kinder, more loving and patient everyday. Every choice I make I try to be true to myself and to the teachings of the Gospel. I know I am happy as I do my best to follow him. And I invite others to come and find out for themselves the happiness God will bring!
