Hi I'm Jessica

I grew up in Colorado. I go to school at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a senior at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I am studying Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing. I love playing tennis, and I'm a total music person. I was in choir all throughout middle school and high school. Singing is one of my favorite things to do. I have a big family. Three older brothers and three younger sisters! I am leaving to go on my mission to Washington Kennewick.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel is a gospel of Happiness. We are given guidance and support from our prophet and those things help us to be happy. I am a Mormon because I have the knowledge that Jesus Christ died for us, but before He did that He atoned for our sins. He bled from every pore and suffered for me. He suffered for the sins I have done and the ones I am yet to make. He loved us so much that He would did that wonderful thing for us. Now I have the opportunity to repent and be forgiven of my sins, and because He died for me I have the wonderful opportunity to return to live with my Heavenly Father. I have had many amazing experiences with prayer. When I truly pray to my Heavenly Father, He answers me. I've never been one to have the answer shouted to me, but it's been whispered to me in the chambers of my heart. I take great comfort from knowing that He listens and answers my prayers. When I was 10 years old my oldest brother passed away. It was a hard time in my family's life, but the thing that got us through was knowing, because of the amazing plan Heavenly Father made for us, I will get to see my brother again and that family's can be together forever. I love my family more than anything, and I am so unbelievable grateful that I get to be with them in Heaven and that I get to hug my older brother again. I have seen blessing after blessing from following the gospel. After serious prayer I decided to serve a mission and everything in my life fell into place. I can't even begin to describe how blessed I feel that Heavenly Father has a path for us and all we have to do is ask and He will help find our path and stay on it. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I love serving people. At church a few years ago we had an adopt-a-grandparent month. We went over to our elderly friends houses once a week for a month. I now call that woman my grandmother and she is a huge part of my life! Up at college I had the opportunity to organize the activities for the woman at church. We had a lot of fun.
