Hi I'm Chanel

I can't hide a smile. I love laughing. I loudly sing along to the radio. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Oregon, so naturally I appreciate the pitter-patter of rain and the smell of fresh rain on asphalt. Currently I'm a student at BYU with hopes of becoming a Speech Pathologist. My family is my life! I have two older brothers and one older sister. I love them so much and we have a blast together. I love cute things - bows, baby animals, rainbows... Everything cute! ESPECIALLY PUPPIES! Disney movies will always hold a special place in my heart. It's quite impossible for me NOT to sing along to a Disney song when I hear one! I love to smile and laugh. Jokes (especially puns!) are one of my favorite things.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of this church, but that is not the sole reason why I am a Mormon. This church has made an incredible difference in my life. I have come to know for myself that the teachings of this church are true, and they have helped make me a better person. The experiences I have had and the people I have come in contact with within this church continue to build my testimony and give my life light. I love the doctrine of the Plan of Salvation. It teaches that we have a distinct purpose on this Earth to learn and grow, and after we have completed this life, we can live with our families and our Heavenly Father for eternity. The knowledge I have come to learn while being involved in the LDS church is so beautiful, and it is something I wouldn't trade for anything.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each and every day! I try to act in a way that reflects my beliefs and values so that I can be a proud representative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I pray and read from the scriptures to both learn and to nurture my relationship with our Heavenly Father and our Savior. I attend church meetings and go to the temple as often as I can. Right now I am also preparing to serve a full-time mission in the México Puebla North Mission. I am beyond excited to dedicate a year and a half of my life to teaching about God's love and the gospel to the people there!
