Hi I'm Sadie

I love that God loves me despite my flaws. I love music, and I love laughing (loudly). I love being a MORMON.

About Me

I am currently a full-time Missionary for the LDS Church. I'll eventually be serving in the Brazil, Curitiba Mission, but until I get my visa, I will be serving in Columbia, South Carolina. So far, this is the most demanding thing I have ever done (mental, spiritual and physical effort required!), but I feel blessed that God trusts me to share His gospel with his children in Brazil and South Carolina that he loves so much, even though I am not a perfect person or teacher like His son was. Before leaving on my mission, I went to BYU for 2 years, in Provo, UT. While I was there I played the piano, sang, and played guitar as much as possible! I love music so much; as much as I would love to be able to play sports really well, singing is the only outward talent that comes naturally to me, and I love to share it with others. Music, for me, is one of the surest ways to feel the Spirit. I have a loud laugh...obnoxious at times, I know. I find myself laughing at a lot more things than are probably supposed to be funny, but I'm not sorry about it; I'm grateful to have a healthy outlet for stress! I also love people. I love observing people and thinking about how we are all so different, yet so similar. It blows my mind, and to me is another evidence that God is our loving Father. Although I love lots of people, my favorite ones are my family. (:

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I want to be. I was born into the Church, and for a long time relied on other people's knowledge to carry me. But, now I love the Gospel for myself, and I know it is true for myself. I love having my own relationship with God and Jesus Christ, both, and looking around me every day and see evidences of their love for ME, personally. I am not yet the person I want to be when I meet God and Christ. But, every single day, I am able to repent of my sins and sanctify my efforts to be better, because Jesus Christ died for me. I love him!

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by being a missionary 24/7 and talking to everyone I meet about the Restored Gospel. But, more importantly than the words is my behavior. Even before I was a missionary, I tried my hardest to act as Christ would act. If I always have him in mind, I will make good decisions. Of course, I didn't always do that, and I still don't. But I TRY, and if I am trying my hardest, I know God will accept my efforts.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost helps us to know things that are true. When I'm trying to KNOW that a Gospel concept is real, the Holy Ghost confirms it to me, so that I know it's true, inside my soul. The Holy Ghost for me is a warm, comforting feeling, almost like goosebumps. It helps me to feel comforted when I am afraid or sad. Show more Show less
